Your highlights in Beatenberg

From the caves to the heights

The village takes its name from the legend that Saint Beatus drove the dragon out of the Saint Beatus Caves. The caves at the foot of the mountain are a fantastic excursion destination. You will discover a world of caves with fascinating formations. After visiting the caves, you leave the near shore of the lake and change perspective – and go up a height. From the Amisbühl viewpoint you start on an unforgettable tandem flight on a paraglider or delta wing glider. You will fly past hilly meadows and fields, over woods, the glistening Lake Thun, past the spectacular mountain panorama and hear the gentle whistling of the wind. This is what freedom feels like.
