Above Lake Thun you can go cross-country skiing in Waldegg near Beatenberg, while beneath the Hardergrat you can glide through Lombachalp Nature Reserve. Would you like to learn how to glide over the snow on cross-country skis? Book a cross-country skiing lesson and learn the techniques required for classic or skate cross-country skiing, making your glide across the trails even more fun. If you don't have your own equipment or prefer not to drag it around with you, it's best to hire cross-country skis, poles and shoes at the trail’s starting point. You can rent cross-country skiing equipment at the following locations: Aeschiried, Beatenberg, Brienz, Jägerstübli Lombachalp restaurant and in sports shops in Diemtigtal Nature Park.

Would you like to end the evening on your cross-country skis? No problem! Aeschiried has 4 km of illuminated night trails, lit with spotlights Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 21:00.
