The play "Wyberhaagge" was written by Beat Schlatter and Christoph Fellmann and tells the story of event manager and wrestling fan Ben. One day, the young man visits the Bernese Oberland to book the tourist attraction "Life as it was 100 years ago". There, tourists can holiday like it’s 1923. For a short time, Ben can leave behind the noise and stress of Zurich and enjoy the unique tranquillity and nature of the beautiful Bernese Oberland.
In the village, Ben falls in love with the sister of a farmer who also happens to be an amazing wrestler. However, in Alttannen, little village in the Bernese Oberland, wrestling is taboo, and as an ardent wrestling fan, Ben can’t accept the village’s strict ban. Against all the odds, Ben organises a spectacular exhibition bout against the king ... And that’s when the trouble begins!
